SOLD Hand-blown modernist glass vase with billions of foamy bubbles.

Hand-blown, hand-formed art glass window vase with small opening and bullicante (dense bubbles) decor.
In retro lime-green, a popular color of the mid 20th Century.
In the 1950s a glass artist working for Kosta Boda named Erik Hoglund designed a range in this style of foaming bubbles in a freeform object.  The organic modernist form was reproduced by Krosno (Poland) in the 1980s.  Repros have polished half moon pontil marks, this vase has a soft pontil mark and polished seat rim. Actual maker is unknown.
In excellent condition with medium bottom-wear on the polished rim.
Measures 4.75" tall and 3.5" at widest point.  Form is purposefully organic in nature.
Shown in image 4 with a burgundy colored foaming glass tumbler (set available separately). Click on images below to enlarge, use your Back Arrow to return to this page.
